SEX--AN ACT OF WORSHIP

Sex is about pleasure,which it is,but isn't.An act itself,which is,but isn't.Sex reflects something far grander,far more beautiful.Sex is mostly believed to be body focused but isn't.It's about the heart,Great sex is heart sex.The big 'O' in sex is not Orgasm but Oneness.

Sex is about intimacy and connecting,although Sex is physical-it's an emotional connection of souls-a spiritual act.Every single act of sexual intercourse is an act of Worship.The question is'Who is being worshiped'.The Apostle Paul tells us 'offer your bodies as living scarifices,holy and pleasing to God-this is spiritual act of worship.We offer our bodies in spiritual worship through our singing,our praise,our teaching,our hands through service.Our bodies are living scarifice offered every day in various physical expressions of spiritual glorification of God.

When we offer our bodies in sexual union,it is a spiritual act of worship,but we can blaspheme just as surely as we can glorify.Marital union is meant to be a feast--Sex is a bodily feast as the two''consume'' each other.It's the consummation of their Oneness.They offer themselves for consummation,and God is glorified.

Couples need to give themselves permission to learn the disciplines of Sex--the discipline of feasting,of playfulness,of sensuality and give themselves permission to be erotic,to be truly naked and unashamed.

Sex points us to God,the holy letter written by Nahmandias in the 13th century sees sex as a mystical experience of meeting with God.''through the act(of intercourse)they become partners with God in the act of creation.When a man unites with his wife in holiness,the Shekinah is between them in the mystery of man and woman---Shekinah glory is the same presence felt by Moses when he encountered God face-to-face.To use our sexuality as a spiritual discipline,to integrate our faith and flesh.God made flesh and with it some amazing sensations.While the male sexual organ has multiple functions,the female clitoris has just one---Sexual pleasure.

Sex is an act of glorification unto God in marriage,couples should see Sex as a sign of worship and praising God.
